10 Feb PREMIER+™ 2 Embroidery Applique Academy
Janie Lantz is coming to Sew-Ciety on April 23, 24 and 25, 2020 to share some enhanced techniques for embroidered applique in PREMIER+™ 2 Embroidery Software! We’ll explore multiple ways to make or update applique embroidery, with lots of tips and hints along the way.

- Thursday April 23: More Techniques for Applique: Embroidery Extra
Learn the basics of Applique in the ExpressDesign Wizard or Assistant, and then change it up by adding details with a second ExpressDesign. Play with Motif Stitches for the Border. Add Applique around your own embroidery, and finish up by learning to add the applique fabric preview and stop commands to applique embroideries that use multiple color stops, so you can use them with electronic fabric cutters.
- Friday April 24: More Techniques for Applique: Modify Module
Start by adding Applique Fabric to existing applique embroidery. Transform embroidery designs into applique, using the Add Applique option in the Borders tab. Adjust the Applique Piece Margin and Match Placement Line settings to create different looks or maximize the stability of your appliques in soft or open-weave fabrics. Create Applique with Motif Line stitches for specialty effects.
- Saturday April 25: More Techniques for Applique: Create Module
Design applique from clipart, or using the shapes in the Create Module. Add overlays of decorative pattern fills, lace, cutwork needle, and specialty applique techniques. We’ll even throw in a little ‘How to Make Fringe Embroidery’, to give your applique designs some pizazz!
If you only have the basic module, or no software, we can install a trial version of Ultra, or temporarily upgrade your software to Ultra, so you can try out all the tools during the seminars. Seminar available in both Mac and Windows versions.
