Here are the ingredients for these salty and sweet Toffee Bars.
- 1 pouch sugar cookie mix
- 1/2 Cup butter softened
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup toffee bits
- 1 bag caramels
- 1/3 Cup heavy Whipping Cream
- 2 Cups chocolate chips
- 3/4 T Sea Salt
Time to Bake Toffee Bars
Heat your oven to 350 degrees. Line a 15 x 10 x 1 inch cookie sheet with foil. In large bowl, stir cookie mix, butter and egg until soft dough forms. Stir in 1/2 cup of toffee bits. Press in bottom of pan. Bake 14-16 minutes . Let cool for for 5 minutes.
In a sauce pan heat caramels and cream, stirring till melted. Remove from heat and spread over warm cookie base. Bake 5 minutes. Remove from oven and top with chips. Let stand 3 minutes and spread over base. Sprinkle with sea salt and remaining toffee bits. Chill until firm or for at least 15 minutes. Enjoy your delicious toffee bars!
