Customer Supply List for 3D Christmas Ornaments – Part 1

This is the Pfaff and Viking Diamond Technique class for August, 2016. There are multiple projects. Ones that stitch out fairly quickly will be done in class. Others that take longer stitching times are intended to be stitched out as “homework” and the pieces assembled into ornaments at the September class. That is why there is a Part 1 to be followed by Part 2. The designs can be used on both the Pfaff and Viking embroidery machines.
Supplies:
Sewing Machine with Embroidery Unit
Embroidery foot and Single Hole needle plate
Hoops for embroidery – the following hoops can be used:
120 x 120 or 180 x 130 for Santa’s Longhandles
150 x 150 or 180 x 130 for Shoe with plain back
200 x0 200 or 240 x 150 for Shoe with embroidered back
Hoops larger than the size specified will also work
Zig Zag needle plate
Open Toe foot or Clear Open Toe foot
Fabrics:
9” x 12” piece of red felt for Santa’s Longhandles
9” x 12” piece of felt in desired color for each shoe ornament
Stabilizers:
Lightweight Tearaway for Santa’s Longhandles
Sheer Mesh Cutaway for Shoes
Threads:
Red rayon embroidery thread with bobbin wound to match felt for Santa’s Longhandles
Rayon embroidery thread with bobbin wound to match felt for Shoes
Embroidery thread for designs on shoes. See pictures of samples for designs available. Suggest metallic threads, and rayon embroidery threads in red, dark red, green, dark green, dark yellow or pale yellow green.
Buttons: 3 small white buttons (10 mm or 3/8”) for Santa’s Longhandles
Ribbon: 1 – 8” piece of 1/4” or 3/8” wide for each ornament
Trims for Shoes: fluffy yarns, fake fur, lace, cording, strung beads, beads, rhinestones, ribbons, etc.
